Thrombolytic agents are the agents which help to dissolve the dangerous clots which may form in the blood vessels. The main cause of the blood clot is fibrinogen. Hence it may cause dangerous problems to both Central Nervous System and Cardio Vascular System. In this article, the thrombolytic Activity of drugs towards Central Nervous System (CNS) is focused. Stroke is the second largest widespread disorder in human beings. Since the synthetic compounds has more adverse effects, the falling towards the natural source has been increased now a days. Here some herbs like Cucumber tree, Hill golry, Oak leaf, Arabic tree, Mahogany, Vasaka, Queen of flowers, Ginger, Ginseng, Gingerlime and Peony where discussed for their thrombolytic activity
