on triton (400 mg/kg b.w.) induced hyperlipidemia in Albino Wistar Rats. A comparison was made between the actions of
Fruit (400 mg/kg b. w.) extracts of Actinidia deliciosa and a known hypolipidemic drug Atorvastatin (10 mg /kg b. w.).
Parameters such as blood serum Total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, VLDL cholesterol, triglyceride levels and body weights of a ll
groups of animals were estimated. Increase in the serum lipid profile with triton treatment was found to be significantly
decreasing with test drugs and Atorvastatin. Administration of Actinidia deliciosa Fruit extracts significantly reduce both fat
deposition and reduced in serum cholesterol and increased serum HDL levels in grains extracts Fruit (Juice) Extract groups
when compare to their respective triton group. It indicates that Fruit extracts of Actinidia deliciosa has beneficial effect in
preventing hyperlipidemia.
<Email>nandinijennifer@gmail.com</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>7</volume><issue>2</issue><year>2017</year><keyword>Actinidia deliciosa Fruits,Triton,Hyperlipidemia</keyword><AUTHORS>Nandini G,Hari Kumar K</AUTHORS><afflication>Sri Venkateswara College of Pharmacy, R.V.S.
