91ROLE OF ABRUS PRECATORIUS L. IN EXPERIMENTAL PEPTIC ULCERGastric and duodenal ulcers were induced in rats by ethanol and cysteamine respectively. Anti peptic ulcer activity of the leaves of Abrus precatorius L., a plant of Eastern Himalaya, was studied in those experimental peptic ulcer models. Results were compared with omeprazole, a known drug for peptic ulcer.
